Start Packing
Pack non-essentials first, starting in the least used areas such as loft spaces, sheds, garage, etc.
Top Tip – Place heavy objects in small boxes, light objects in larger boxes.
More Packing
Ornaments, seasonal clothes and items you won’t need before the move.
Top Tip – Pack room by room so each box will only contain items from a single room, making unpacking simpler.
Get Booked
Book a shopping delivery to arrive the day after your move to start life in your new home with all the essentials.
Top Tip – Check the sell by dates on all those old jars and bottles in the cupboard. That salmon from 2001 is NOT a collector’s item.
Moving Day Kit
Prepare a moving day day bag; screwdriver, hammer, knife, packing tape, phone charges, etc.Â
Top Tip – Include a print out of vital info, numbers, addresses as a back up.
Defrost & Deep Clean
Defrost freezers, unplumb and clean white goods. Once clean, open all doors/compartments and leave to air dry to prevent mold.

Final Meter Readings
Make sure you have meter readings at both addresses on moving day.
